The site is a reminder that in history, people live lives and not themes. Consider the following reflection questions as you explore:Choose one Diary, one Portrait, and one History to listen to. What did you choose? What did you learn from the story?How does the editing of these audio files impact the listening experience for the audience?Do you think your students could produce their own Radio Diaries? NPR does! Here’s what they say: “Anyone can make a radio diary….Whether you’re interviewing a neighbor, or a grandparent, or someone you’ve never met, a microphone is a passport into their lives.”Here’s the Teen Reporter Handbook to help you and your students get started.Step 2:  write one to two paragraphs that capture the essence of your reflections from the questions posed in Steps 1 above. Aim for something between 100 and 200 words long.
