The course resources for this week all engage with CLO 4; “Analyze social actions that have led to greater equality and social justice in the US.” In recent years, historians have begun to recognize that viewing the postwar period from the perspective of diverse minority groups shows us how while there was not one united civil rights movement, there were many points of commonality and connection between movements for change and equality. This includes movements to end Jim Crow segregation and create racial equality, to create a more equitable immigration system, and to gain equal rights for women and homosexuals.
