Case Analysis

In this case, you must individually document your impressions of each of your group mates. By team-member, I want you to document the following:

• What was your first impression of that person when you met them?
• Based on your first impression and what you learn from their Keirsey profile, what do you believe will be easy about working with the person?
• Based on your first impression and what you learn from their Keirsey profile, what do you believe will be the most challenging part about working with that person?
• What will be your strategy for working with that person individually?

Overview

The purpose of each of the case studies assigned in this class is to evaluate how well you are able to understand and apply the concepts discussed in the class so far. Each case will present an issue, a question, or a problem. You are expected to do the necessary prework and discuss with your team. However, you will each submit and individual case-write up. Please note, the length of the write-up is not related to quality. Most write-ups should require one or two pages.

In grading the case write-up, I will be evaluating how well you have recognized the issues and tied them back to the concepts studied so far. In particular, I will be looking for how well they tie to the facts, and for clear signs that you have researched and thought out the problem.

Recommended Format

While I am open to almost any format of write-up, I have found that the clearest cases typically are constructed as follows:

• Executive summary: two or three sentences that provide your overall perspective on what was assigned.
• Recap of your individual deliverables, results or findings.
• Additional information: anything else that is germain to the case that you think I need to know.

All write-ups must be typed.

Grading

Cases count for 15% of your total grade for the course, so each case is worth 5% overall. You will receive an overall grade for the case that is based on two components:

• 80% of the grade will be based on the actual content of your write-up.
• 20% of the grade will be based on your presentation. (e.g., the clarity and professionalism of your case write-up.)

Spelling, grammar and typos can all count against you in your presentation score.
