making is based on sound economic principles applied in a sensitive and uniform manner. Lessons
can be learned from basic economics lessons about human behavior and the way individuals make
decisions, respond to incentives, interact with each other and about the efficient allocation of scarce
resources.

telling us. Describe trends in the costs of care for treating specific prevalent conditions. Examine
the burden of health care costs on businesses and governments and the extent to which Americans
can afford needed care. Analyze trends in the efficiency of care delivery and the competitiveness of
the delivery system, key factors in keeping costs down that the information presented is telling us,
and the national picture this data presents. Formulate an innovative solution for at least two of
the issues you identify and explain how you could implement these solutions in a health care
facility.
The paper should be written in APA format and include at least three references in addition to the
website below. The references can also include the course textbook, and references from the KU
online library, or other online resources. The paper should be at least three pages in length, not
including the title page and references page.
