Convenience sampling of older African Americans from local church. Intervention will be a survey questionnaire about Tai Chi benefits and knowledge about exercise recommendations for time, frequency, and muscle strengthen, as recommended by the 2008 Physical Activity Guidelines. Data collection- Survey 10- questions about Tai Chi and perceptions and knowledge. Participants will observe a 15- 20 minute tai chi DVD followed by completion of a survey paper and pen . Introduction includes signifance of study, Demographics and aging population who is sedentary and developing chronic preventable, costly diseases. Discuss impact of chronic diseases on independence, function, and muscle weakness and falls and escalating health care cost.
