Directions: Please use your textbook to answer the discussion question. After you post your response, please respond to two other discussions posted by your classmates. You are required to solely use your textbook for the discussions unless instructed otherwise. The more details and examples you use to write your responses, the more points you will likely get. You are graded on the originality of your response, intellectual depth of the discussion, and analysis you share. The same applies to your peer responses. Refrain from saying, that was interesting, I agree/disagree. Follow up with additional thoughts, or if you think you could make a historical connection, or add substance to an answer, that is also okay. Be sure responses are in your own words, and the same goes for responding to other student’s responses. Originality is important, and I implore you not to copy the textbook verbatim. Remember to be respectful when responding to someone else’s discussion. Rude or inappropriate language will not be tolerated, and you will get a 0 for that discussion.
Chapter 10 is titled, Becoming the World: 1000-1300. What does this chapter suggest about the exchange of goods and ideas? Where is the phenomenon of cultural exchange taking place, and why in these locations. Feel free to reference images, maps, and primary sources from your textbook or chapter. You will be graded on how well you analyze and discussi the question, as well as that of replying to your colleagues. Late Assignments will get no credit.
