Scenario:

Then describe whether the use of cell phones impacts or does not impact risk management in a healthcare setting.  As a healthcare provider how would you deal with the above situation? While treating a patient in the ER with a leg laceration, a provider notices a visitor with the patient who is talking on a cell phone in the treatment area while the Provider is talking to the patient.  The Provider does not know who is on the other end of the phone, but the person in the room with the patient is clearly discussing the patient’s condition over the phone, and relaying word-for -word what the provider is saying.
