   1. Identify the primary SIC code for your main company (four-digit Standard Industrial Classification code, also called the Industry code) by looking in Mergent.
   2. Trend analysis: You will evaluate your main company over time (three most recent years available). Create a table to show the trend for the following items: ROE, Current ratio, Total asset turnover, Inventory turnover, Total debt to equity. Create a chart or graph to highlight some information from the trend analysis.
   3. Peer analysis: You will compare your main company to the average of peers in the same SIC. Create another table showing the peer comparison (i.e., industry average) for the same items above for the most recent year. Create a chart or graph to highlight some information from the peer analysis. To complete the peer analysis, use all available companies in Mergent with the same primary SIC code (see note below for clarification).
   4. Create a text box to discuss your findings. How is your firm been performing over time and in comparison to peers? Be clear in your explanation of what a higher or lower ratio really means. As an example: Demonstrate an understanding of why/how current ratio may be important.
   5. Be sure to include your name so that if the Excel sheet is printed, your name will show. Be sure to format the Excel sheet for printing before saving and uploading to Bb.
