What are your organization’s primary products and/or services? Records management, file and data management, document scanning and capture, information destruction (Hard drive and paper shredding, confidential destruction.)

Are there forces outside your organization that put pressure on how your business is run? Briefly describe them. Modernization of the office space, reduction in paper products, movement to digital environment. Increased competition from national companies. Industry and compliance changes, privacy laws. Minimum wage increase, because of government intervention in labor wage laws, increases overhead. Current and potential clients developing DO IT YOURSELF departments to manage such material. I.E> Large healthcare conglomerate that creates a department to run multiple hospitals and offices through this department rather than hiring outside.
How has your organization changed its strategy in response to outside forces? Changed the focus of paper based management to digital solutions. Converting paper to digital, scanning increases, offering server usage and management. Branding and forcing the brand to the future with regards to the digital focus of a Maine based company with the focus on social responsibility. I.E. Community shredding events for free etc. Mobil shredding is key. Recently purchased largest local competition to expand the market share within the state. Continuing education with the workforce and working with local officials on laws and regulations for the industry(lobbying).
How do your biggest rivals compete to try to gain an advantage with customers in your markets? Pricing discounts from national competition. Driving the market down.
