This assessment asks you to write a 2000 word reflective essay discussing evidence of your personal strengths/development needs in relation to employability skills, feedback received, actions taken, employability skills developed and plans for further addressing these into the future. Ensure that your discussion is applied to real life career situations such as interviews and applications.
You must include some theory and practice (i.e concepts discussed in class and that you have read, including real life evidence and examples) to support what you are saying in your essay. You must also list the books, journals, websites etc that you have used to inform your essay, using Harvard Referencing.
To pass this assessment, you need to submit more than just the essay.
Your attached portfolio of evidence (not included in the word count) MUST include;
• Your SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis
• Supporting evidence of work completed in the IT session plus other class activities
• Feedback received from others in and outside class (including your Assessment Centre feedback)
• PDP (personal development plan) showing that you have developed at least 3 employability skills
• Evidence of at least 3 employability skills that you have developed, with specific examples
• Your Career Action Plan (for the next 5 years)
• Your 2 CVs – a generic one and a specific one using the University template
