2)When reading the excerpt that I handed out from Marbury v. Madison, of course, try to identify the same three components of Marshall’s argument that we focused on in the first two opinions that we analyzed: (1) the legal question presented to the court, (2) the court’s answer (holding) to that question, and (3) the rule relied upon by the court to justify its holding. The legal question we will focus on is actually the third question that the case presents to the court, according to Marshall. Focus on #3. Also, review the above-mentioned concepts from chapter two of the Primer and see if any of them apply to Marbury.
