Select an appropriate process to redesign.This process should:

be a key/critical business process reflecting the 3 C’s (customer, competence, competition).

be of reasonable scope — neither too simple nor complex in scope.

be an OPS process – avoid CROPS & JOPS as these require extensive coordination to develop.

Artifact(s) reflecting involvement of effected parties in your process redesign effort.Examples include:

F Email/memo soliciting participation

F Agenda/meeting notes

F Email/memo from manager or other stakeholders

Develop a current state flowchart/service blueprint of the existing process.

Perform a value stream analysis of the current process that highlights delay/non-value added activity.
