Please do a paragraph about this post with this instruction .
post most have 4 or more sentences .
you also have to have a high quality post from a content perspective. This means it also needs to do more than agree with or praise a class mate. If you agree with a classmate, explain why, give an example, share what you learned in the readings, ask questions of each other, etc
A variable is an object, event, idea, feeling, time period, or any other type of category you are trying to measure. There are two types of variables-independent and dependent.
Independent Variable: Independent variables are variables that stand on their own and aren’t affected by anything that you, as a researcher, do. You have complete control over which independent variables you choose. To measure effectiveness of author proposed evidence based project in prevention of hospital acquired pressure ulcer independent variable will be numbers of patients with risk of impaired skin integrity admitted in hospital. These patient could be with Poor mobility/immobility, Poor nutritional status,Compromise blood flow, Neuropathy/compromised sensation, Skin color/changes, Alter mental status, incontinence, elderly patients and patients in pain.
Dependent Variable: A dependent variable is what you measure in the experiment and what is affected during the experiment. The dependent variable responds to the independent variable. It is called dependent because it “depends” on the independent variable. In a scientific experiment, you cannot have a dependent variable without an independent variable. Dependent variable will be numbers of waffle mattress provided and how many high risk impaired skin integrity patients reposition every 2hr. It is very important monitor how many patients provided waffle mattress and how many repositioned exactly at 2hr to measure outcome. Measuring dependent variable is necessary to make this project more successful and how this project can improve and prevent development of hospital acquired pressure ulcer. “The dependent variable is ‘dependent’ on the independent variable. As the experimenter changes the independent variable, the effect on the dependent variable is observed and recorded. An independent variable is the variable that is changed or controlled in a scientific experiment to test the effects on the dependent variable. A dependent variable is the variable being tested and measured in a scientific experiment.†(ThoughtCo., 2017)
