For this week’s discussion, construct a sample portfolio, then track and analyze its performance for the next 7 weeks. Use Yahoo Finance (http://finance.yahoo.com/) to construct the portfolio. (Registration is free.) Click “My Portfolios” and use the drop-down menu to choose “New Portfolios.” Follow instructions to construct the portfolio. You will create analysis reports on its performance each week.
Use $1,000,000 for your portfolio. Select the 10 stocks that you think have the most growth potential. Use the tools on this site to diversify your portfolio and either meet or have your total be under $1,000,000.
