write a response to The Revolutionary Theatre

write a response to Amiri Baraka’s essay “The Revolutionary Theatre.” Here’s what I want in the paper:

1. Your paper will not go over any information I presented in class on Oct 31 – you will provide new material from your own research.
2. The first part of your paper, which is at least 750 words long, will put Baraka’s words into a social or historical context. You might wish to link his words specifically to material we have read in class. You might wish to link his words to other work of his that you have discovered on your own. Make an argument here about how Baraka’s work fits in AND how it does NOT fit in to this discourse. You will provide citations in MLA format.
3. The second part of your paper, which is at least 750 words long, is your own personal evaluation to his essay, understood within the context you just presented. Is he right? Wrong? Is he right AND wrong? How should we read this essay, in your view? How should we use it when we are thinking about new ways to create politically relevant theatre?
