Writing the Research Paper

In just a few days, you will be submitting your final research essay — the paper that you have been working on over the last five weeks.

In our final discussion, please reflect on yourself as an academic writer after these past few weeks by answering the following questions:

1. Have you learned anything important about yourself as a writer?

2. What skills have you honed over the last few weeks, particularly with respect to research-based writing?

3. What did you learn about writing a research-based paper that is framed around a research question?

4. What remains your biggest concern about your writing or research paper at this stage?

5. Are there any other thoughts you would like to share about the course, what you have learned, or about yourself as a writer?

As usual, please provide thoughtful feedback to at least 2-3 peers.
