Paper Requirements:

• Introduction: One to two paragraphs that identifies the book you read and the author, describe the person the book is about and why you choose that book, and explains how the person’s sociocultural environment was different from your
• Identify how each Ecological System Influenced the Person’s Development (5-10 paragraphs): You will need to: 1) define each ecological system: microsystem, mesosystem, exosystem, macrosystem, 2) describe the environments the person experienced within that system, 3) describe a risk and protective factor example from the environments in that system, 4) connect each risk and protect factor to a course concept.

There are 5 systems. There should be at least 10 course concepts applied (1 risk factor and 1 protective factor for each system). The course concepts should be defined with citation, bold text, have an example from the person’s life. If you are unsure about an example or concept, do your best and make a notation that informs the instructor of the questions you have so that the instructor can provide appropriate suggestions.

• Describe how the Person Influenced or Changed their Environments to Influence their OwnDevelopment (1-3 paragraphs). Connect examples to 2-3 course concepts (define the concept, bold text, provide an example, & citation).
